1. Agreement
By using the MailVault application or visiting mailvaultapp.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. MailVault is provided by MB Modernios Aplikacijos, registered in Lithuania. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
MailVault is a free desktop email client that stores emails locally on your computer. The application connects to your email provider via standard IMAP/SMTP protocols to sync and send emails.
3. Source Code
The source is live on GitHub. Any rights to use, copy or change the source code are only those stated in the repository.
4. Your Data
MailVault stores your emails and account data locally on your computer. We do not have access to your emails, credentials, or any data stored in the application. You are solely responsible for:
- Backing up your local data.
- Keeping your computer and credentials secure.
- Ensuring you have the right to access and store the emails in your accounts.
5. Email Provider Terms
MailVault connects to third-party email providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) using your credentials. You must comply with your email provider's terms of service. We are not responsible for any actions taken by your email provider, including account restrictions or data loss on their servers.
6. No Warranty
MailVault is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all email providers. Specifically:
- We are not responsible for data loss, whether caused by application bugs, hardware failure, or user error.
- We are not responsible for emails that fail to send, sync, or display correctly.
- The application is not a substitute for a proper backup strategy.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MB Modernios Aplikacijos and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MailVault, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or inability to access your emails.
8. Website Services
The MailVault website provides newsletter subscriptions, a contact form, and community voting features. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any website feature at any time. Abuse of website services (spam, automated submissions, etc.) may result in your access being restricted.
9. Modifications
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of MailVault or the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through our website or newsletter.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lithuania, without prejudice to your rights under EU consumer protection regulations.
